Our Story
We met in 2014 and within 18 months Michael proposed in front of the ruins of St Mary’s Abbey in York, I had been feeding a squirrel and Michael felt this was the perfect setting, that was until he knelt on a stone during his proposal!
We have been engaged since November 2015 but we never seemed to find the right venue or the right time, we were both training to become teachers. Michael and I now teach at the same school and I have regularly joked with the students that we will end up getting married in the canteen at school, having school pizza (which isn’t great!) the kids all loved this idea, of course. Thankfully, we don’t have to do this now, much to the students’ disappointment and we can have our little dog, Remy, with us
